How to go about the process
The preliminary step to go about this program would be to create a profile on the express entry web application. Based on that information you will be assessed through a point based ranking system using their six selection factors. The selection factors used in this application process are listed below.
Six Selection Factors
Language
- English is a mandatory requirement and well-maintained communication will help you secure professional jobs (bilingiual in French would add to your profile).
- You will be assesed points on your ability to read, write, listen and speak.
Education
- Canadian schooling will be considered, based on level and proof of certifications.
- For foreign education, there is an educational credential assessment that will be required to gather, using an authorized organization.
- Secondary education(high school), or
- Higher education (post-graduate)
Work Experience
- You can recieve points based on your work experience and duration of that experience (full-ime or part-time).
Age
- The most points awarded for age are for the candidates in range 18-35 years, however you will still recieve points up to a certain age, after which there will be no points awarded.
Employment Offer In Canada
- You can secure more points if you have an existing offer of employment in Canada for atleast a years length of duration.
Adaptability to Canada
- Points are also awarded based on your willinginess (and spouse's) to adapt to the way of life in Canada. There are also some other factors which can grant you more points.
If you are eligible, you must also indicate proof of your funds for settling purposes in Canada (unless you have valid work proof/offer).
