Determining Elgibility
Upwards of 35 million people are issued visitor visas to travel to Canada every year. If the visitors country is one that is listed as a visa-exempt country then they would not require a vistor visa. However, for all other nations their visiting tourists, foreign workers and international students would require a visitor visa to travel to Canada. Exempted countries will still need to gather an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) before travelling to Canada. Exceptions are placed for US citizens, they will not require a visitor visa but green card holders will need an eTA.
