Overview
Through this program, individuals can aim to immigrate to a particular province granted they can secure a nomination from the province. All provinces offer their own programs for immigration purposes (except Nunavut and Quebec), they also provide an Express Entry route for faster processing. Eligibility for the province programs is established by the province and the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). You can find more information about these programs as listed below.
Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP)
Alberta offers multiple program options: Alberta Express Entry, Alberta Opportunity Stream (AOS) and Self-Employed Farmer.
British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP)
BC offers multiple streams for its Provincial Nominee Program: Express Entry BC, Entrepreneur Immigration and Skills Immigration.
Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP)
Manitoba promotes its immigration programs towards skilled workers along with their dependents who plan to work and immigrate permanently to Manitoba.
New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP)
New Brunswick offers its PNP through the The New Brunswick Skilled Worker Stream which is designed for Foreign Nationals who can contribute a positive impact on the New Brunswick economy through their skills, education and work experience.
Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program (NLPNP)
The NLPNP is aimed to provide assistance to skilled immigrants and their families the ability to reside and work in Newfoundland and Labrador. To gain permanent residency one must have a job or job offer to be eligible.
Northwest Territories Nominee Program (NTNP)
Northwest Territories promotes two main streams for acquiring residency: Employer Driven and Business, there is also an option for Express Entry under one of these streams.
Nova Scotia Nominee Program (NSNP)
The NSNP offers a variety of ways to immigrate to Nova Scotia for skilled or experienced immigrants, they also provide an option for Express Entry.
Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP)
The OINP is open to foreign workers, international students, business owners or entrepreneurs who come from a foreign country to reside in Ontario permanently granted they have the necessary skills and expereience.
Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP)
The PEI PNP nominates candidates to pursue permanent residency through this program. Eligibility is determined on the individuals ability to self-establish in PEI and the intent to work and live in PEI.
Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP)
The SINP offers skilled foreign nationals the ability to reside in Saskatchewan through its Express Entry and in high demand occupations stream.
Yukon Nominee Program (YNP)
This program is aimed to help eligible employers of Canada to nominate foreign nationals and business workers to reside in Yukon for Canadian permanent residency.
