What Is A Super Visa
This grants the ability for parents or grandparents to travel to Canada for up to 2 years at an instance. Considered a multi-entry visa, which can be valid for up to 10 years.
Eligibility
- You must be the parent/grandparent of a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada.
- Have a signed invitation letter from your child/grandchild, with the following mandates:
- Medical insurance coverage must be procured with a year validity (minimum $100,000 coverage).
- Financial support capabilities during your stay.
- List of how many people in the household.
- Copy of the individuals citizenship or PR card.
Other Things To Note
Application for super visa must be made from outside of Canada. You may be required to take a medical examination. You must also indicate financial support for the duration of your stay in Canada, meaning your child/grandchild must meet the minimum household income standards. Upon successful process of application you may be asked for a police clearance, and when approved you will be given a visa stamp on your passport.
